Media is an important part of the Christian faith, without it we would not have the letters that Paul wrote to the early church. Paul used every means of communication at his disposal to encourage, educate and involve his supporters and readers. As a result, millions have come to know the living Christ, and become disciples.
The Global Outreach Uganda ministry does this in many different ways, including print, internet, video and training. Some of the projects worked on recently include a video for Wycliffe Bible translators, a brochure and radio spots for the new African Bible College, brochures for local businesses started by Christians to better the lives of Ugandans, prayer cards, Powerpoints, and videos for individual missionaries, photo sessions for Mission Aviation Fellowship, video interviews with Christian vocalists, and videos of local church dramas. Many more are in the works, including some web site design. Several Ugandans have been trained to work along side of us in our efforts. We work with a local videographer to educate and employ these Ugandans, who help out with video editing, shooting, and photography. In addition to this, there are classes being started at a local women's vocational school, and in the home of young Ugandans, to train them how to use the computers and software that we use in our work. This will be combined with Bible study as we seek to share whatever we can with our brothers and sisters.
